YOGA TO CURE CANCER

YOGA TO CURE CANCER

MAY 6, 2018

When I first met Emily, the owner of the Quiet Co. we shared our stories on how we were drawn to meditation. A story I share openly all the time is of the loss of both my parents to cancer and how that really sparked this curiosity with finding peace within me and/or equanimity with the challenges that I faced growing up.

Part of my passion in spreading wellness is rooted in this deep belief in the strong connection of the mind and body. And when Emily invited me to take part in leading meditations fro the YCC I did not hesitate and was honoured to hold space for those affected directly or indirectly by dis-ease.

It was a beautiful sunny day and I remember having 2 large sessions, the largest group I had ever led of around 60 people. I loved leading a body meditation to the attendees and guiding them into having a conversation of love with their body. We often forget to give appreciation to all of our body and all it’s parts, all it’s functioning, processing to help support us in everyday life. I believe this ritual is so important to the maintenance and health of our physical body, our home for our inner being.
