There is an art to powerful story telling. We can be inspired by stories we read in books and the ones we see on the screen as entertainment. But often forgotten is the powerful storyteller within us that affects us in our daily lives.
As social media influencers become the norm in our daily IG navigation; there is a new wave of influencers that are here to fight for real change and protect our planet. I call them Earth Influencers. They are people speaking out inspiring others to take a stand or simply become more conscious of our purchasing habits.
Experiencing something new also builds resilience. Whether it be navigating a new place or trying something new we practice how to move through uncomfortable unknowns. And more often than not when travelling we move through these stressful unknowns with a lens of gratitude and joy through experiencing something new.
I believe that with the pace of living these days this approach is really helpful; no right or wrongs, just simply sit when you can and breath. No need for a special cushion, corner or even guided mediation. If your personality is one to make a dedicated space then here is a few “sit” options depending on your style.

By Spring I was manifesting how I could reach more youth with mindfulness and meditation.
My first Speaker Series on Meditation asked me to speak on meditation for 1 hour to a student body where english was not their first language.
I believe this is one of the fundamental lessons learned in meditation, the knowingness that you have a choice.
There was also something so special in moving through the stillness of the city and syncing to the beautiful energy that rises with the sun.
A story I share openly all the time is of the loss of both my parents to cancer and how that really sparked this curiosity with finding peace within me and/or equanimity with the challenges that I faced with loss and dis-ease.
