THE MANGO GROVE IS A PLACE WELCOME TO ALL TO SIT AND CONNECT INWARDS WITH THE HIGHER SELF IN MEDITATION. IT’S A PLACE TO MEET THE COMPLEXITIES OF BEING HUMAN AND CO-EXISTING ON THIS EARTH WITH KINDNESS AND COMPASSION AND TO DEVELOP A TRUST IN PRESENT AWARENESS AND DEEP LISTENING.
MINDFUL ORIGINS: The Mango Grove is an ode to my philippine cultural heritage and our love affair with mangoes. Culturally, we consume both sweet, ripe mangoes and sour, unripe mangoes; a lesson in appreciating all shapes and form of life’s abundance. I acknowledge that my work as a settler on Turtle Island, in Tkaronto, the traditional territories of Anishinabek Nation, the Huron Wendat Confederacy, and the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. Also recognizing the presence of all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit People. This territory is part of the Dish with One Spoon Treaty, an agreement to peacefully share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. May we open our hearts and minds daily honouring the Original Caretakers and Indigenous land and work in harmony to preserve the ways of the Indigenous for future generations.
